Porsche releases Base Taycan in China

Porsche's entry model in China now includes a rear wheel model with a 79.2 kw/H battery, putting out 300Kw, full capacity, giving a range of 414km.

Optional is the 93.4 kw/H battery from the Turbo and TurboS, which puts out 350kW, with a range of 489km.  This can propel it to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds.

It is not clear if the model will be sold outside China, but we expect in parts of the world where ice or snow are not so common, there could very well be a market for the base Taycan.

Meanwhile in NZ, first Taycan model deliveries are looking like November 2020, due to Covid delays.

Very taken by the expansion of the Taycan range. I will admit on Saturday I sat in one for the first time and can confirm it is space age and very beautiful. Wanted to order one!
