The G60 BMW 5 series is headed for launch in quarter 3 2023, with the BMW M5 following a year later.

Talk is that the next M5 will be a combination of hybrid electric (the so called "Power PHEV)" and fully electric.

With two 250Kw electric motors at the rear and a 250Kw electric motor at the front, the fully electric version could line up at an amazing 750Kw of power, according to reports.

A triple engine version would be inline with Tesla's triple engine which will appear in its Cybertruck.

A 0-100km/h time of less than 3.0 seconds will be possible in the next M5.
