Vespa NZ celebrates Year of the Dragon with exclusive scooter

To celebrate the Luna New Year, Vespa New Zealand is bringing three exclusive models of the 946 Dragon scooter.

Arriving in New Zealand in March, with prices to be announced closer to the release date, the 946 Dragon has been hand-crafted in Italy.

The body is adorned with a textured dragon motif that dances across the length of the Vespa’s gold frame in a contrasting emerald green.

The limited-edition 946 Dragon has the green motif.

“The bold design of the Vespa 946 Dragon marks a coming together of cultures, innovation and sophistication, telegraphing a distinct sense of energy and power,” says the brand as it celebrates 2024 as the year of the Dragon.

The newly unveiled Vespa Dragon edition is based on the 946 scooter and is powered by an air-cooled, 125cc, single-cylinder engine.

The engine produces that churns out a max output of 8.5kW and 10.3Nm of peak torque. The scooter is built with a metal-monocoque body, and features a single leading-link shock upfront. It runs on 12-inch wheels and gets a 220mm disc brake at the front.
