Tesla has released its latest over the air updates for its Model S sedan and Model X crossover as it faces performance competition from the likes of the Porsche Taycan.

The V2020.12.5 update gives the Teslas more power above 135km/h. The thermal endurance of the engine also is now three times better, which will improve repeat 0-100 km/h sprints.

The extra power features are more accessible on Tesla’s large touchscreen, including an easier to engage launch control. The launch control has an improved feature which, when switched into operation, lowers the front axle.
