Spotted! Facelift Mercedes-Benz SL winter testing underway
The Mercedes-Benz SL has again been spotted, this time in cold weather testing in the Arctic Circle.
Clearly visible is its less complicated fabric topic that, combined with sportier grand tourer styling cues, should make this model quite the looker.
Also visible are the flush mounted door handles and the thin rear lights. The rest of the car still remains under heavy disguise.
Mercedes-Benz will accelerate the introduction of its high powered hybrid four cylinder engines, with the release of the SL.
Eight cylinder engines will remain but these will likely be limited to the top “73e” and “SL63”, which should put out 600kW and 450kW respectively. The former will have a 150kW plus hybrid engine attached to two twin-turbo V8s.
The facelift SL is still on track for a first quarter of 2021 launch.
