Opel NZ has announced the pricing for the Mokka compact SUV that will arrive here in early October with pricing from $38,990.

The German car brand was recently launched in New Zealand with the company’s commercial manager, Noah Robertson, saying he’s for Kiwis to experience the “first vehicle from the electrifying new Opel brand”.

“Mokka has been chosen to lead the charge for Opel’s launch, looking like it’s cut from the future in terms of its styling and driving experience. It brings low emission or fully electric options and high-impact German design inside and out.

“The Mokka range is priced aggressively and accessibly, so more Kiwis can get into lower emission vehicles sooner … The range also offers high brand appeal and high-end features such as IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights and the wraparound Opel Pure Panel display,” says Robertson.

The SUV has recently won several of the top industry awards globally including the Top Gear Design of the Year, Automobile Golden Steering Wheel, and Autotrader Erin Baker award for sustainability.

The Mokka Edition is priced from $38,990, the Sri is from $44,990 while the electric Mokka-e Sri is priced from $69,990, qualifying for the full rebate of $8625.
