Check out the rad Ineos Grenadier
You may not know Ineos but it is one of the world's largest chemical producers, founded by British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe.
You're soon about to hear more about Ineos as Ratcliffe is bringing the Ineos Grenadier to the market.
It is going to be the incarnation of the original Land Rover Defender which was produced for 67 years.
It takes styling cues such as the Alpine windows, clamshell hood, flat windscreen and prominent crease lines.
I love it and almost immediately want to place my order, after I ended up down a time wasting rabbit hole last month almost buying one of the last 2016 Defenders delivered in NZ.
To be sold, first of all, in the UK, prices will be around 40,000 GBP, which translates to NZ$76,000, which is around where good Defenders are trading at the moment (I was looking at NZ$80,000 for the above!).
The Ineos would have BMW six cylinder petrol and diesel engines and production would occur in the UK.
One to watch for sure! It looks to eclipse the original Defender in many ways, other than the heritage (which perhaps money can't buy) of being the real thing!
