Volvo plans to make the XC100 electric

Every now and then a car is discussed on global motoring forums that gets me really excited this week its talk that Volvo has decided there will be an XC100 large SUV, and it will be electric only.  

Reports say that like the electric XC40 SUV, it too will have the moniker Recharge. It would potentially have a dual motor set up and all-wheel-drive system on upper models.  

Styling could be influenced by the 2014 Volvo XC coupe concept, which even then looked ahead of its time, however in the six years that have passed it is an accurate portrait of Volvo’s current and near future styling direction.
