They may be famous for starring in films and television series, but this group of actors are also known for their passion for cars. While you’ll notice one car brand that is popular with these famous collectors, there are also a couple of surprises in there.
Patrick Dempsey
The actor, best known as McDreamy in the TV drama Grey’s Anatomy, is also famous for his love of classic and vintage cars. His collection includes: 1963 Porsche 356 (the first car he bought), 1972 Jaguar E Type V-12 Convertible, 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SE and a Ferrari Daytona. Dempsey is also a race car driver and won the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship, but stepped back from racing to focus on his family and acting.
John Cena
The professional WWE wrestler and actor has an eye for American muscle cars. His car of choice to get him to his day-to-day activities? A 1971 AMC Hornet SC/360, naturally. What else is in his garage? 1996 Dodge Hemi Charger, 1970 Buick GSX, 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, 1971 Plymouth Road Runner and 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Rallye 350 – to name a few.
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen’s wife may be named "Portia," but it’s a different spelling of a very similar name that rules her life most of the time. She's dedicated to the Porsche brand and owns a GTS, 993, Carrera S, Carrera 4S, Turbo S, and a Cayenne, among others. The Finding Nemo star and talk show host also been spotted behind the wheel of a Ferrari California, though it isn’t clear whether this belongs to her or to Portia.
Rowan Atkinson
Mr Bean may drive a Mini but the actor has a car collection that includes some of the most exquisite cars in existence. He owns multiple cars such as the Aston Martin V8 and a Bentley Mulsanne, and the most notable one was a rare purple McLaren F1 that he crashed twice. He recently sold his 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E at auction.

The Seinfeld star is equally known for his hit comedy series as he is for TV series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The comedian is also a big Porsche fan as he owns more than 15 types, ranging from 1949 Porsche 356/2 to Porsche 959, which is one of 333 ever built. He’s known for having one of the largest Porsche collections in the world.
