Special Aston Martin DB5 up for auction

UPDATED: As part of Bonham’s auction this weekend at the famous Goodwood Revival festival in England, there is one special vehicle up for sale – but you’d need NZ$1.1 million to buy it.
The festival has returned to the Goodwood estate after it was cancelled last year due to Covid. The event runs from September 18-19, with Bonham’s auction taking place on the first day.
And the star of that auction is a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 4.2-litre sports sedan with a price estimate between NZ$880,00 to $1.1m. But in the end, it sold for NZ$824,327 – someone got a bargain.
Formerly owned by Baron Diego Von Buch the engine was rebuilt and upgraded by R S Williams in 2005.
Arguably the best known of all Aston Martins, thanks to starring roles in the James Bond films Goldfinger and Thunderball, the DB5 returns to the big screen in No Time to Die this month and check out the trailer here.
