Spanish car manufacturer SEAT has responded to the temporary closure of retailers in the UK by providing virtual tours of its model range from product experts’ driveways.

The Live Showcase service enables British customers to speak with experts and experience the vehicle that they own or are interested in, without having to leave their home.

SEAT is well known in Europe and was previously known as the “Spanish Fiat” before Volkswagen Group bought it in 1986.

SEAT is an acronym for the Sociedad Espanola de Automoviles de Turismo; which translates as Society of Spanish Automobile Tourism.

Due to the Covid-19 lockdown, SEAT’s team is offering a virtual service from their homes rather than at a dedicated showroom.

Product experts use video technology to connect with customers and live stream their model of choice.

The service allows existing customers to have questions answered about their vehicle, including how to use certain features and accessories, as well as talking to prospective buyers who are considering purchasing a new SEAT.

Six SEAT hosts are currently providing bespoke live demonstrations of the brand’s full lineup of SUVs from their driveways, including the compact Arona, the mid-sized Ateca and new Tarraco seven-seater.
