VW working on entry level ID.1
With the all-electric Volkswagen ID.3 soon to launch in Europe and the ID.4 close on its heels, attention is turning to the ID.1.
Essentially, it is going to be the electric version of the compact hatchback, VW Up, which is sold in Europe but not in New Zealand, due to the fact VW NZ couldn’t bring it in at a cost effective price.
The ID.1 is anticipated to come with two different choices of battery – the 24kWh and 36kWh.
VW wants to sell a million EVs by 2023, according to Electrek.
