Porsche NZ reveals price of its top 911

The turbo S coupe and cabrio will be arriving here later this year

Porsche New Zealand has announced the prices of its range-topping 911 turbo S coupe and cabriolet with the first customer vehicles expected to land later this year.

The coupe starts at $407,900 and the cabriolet at $422,900, with orders now opened for third quarter delivery.

They both are powered by a new 3.8-litre boxer engine with two VTG turbochargers, which delivers 478 kW of power, 51 kW more the previous models. Maximum torque is now 800Nm, an increase of 50Nm.

The adaptive aerodynamics now includes controlled cooling air flaps at the front, while the larger rear wing has been designed for more down-force.

For the first time, the 911 turbo S has mixed tyres: 20in with 255/35 dimensions at the front and 21in 315/30 tyres at the rear.
