Porsche NZ reveals new-look Panamera
Porsche New Zealand has released details and prices of the 2021 Panamera that the brand says covers an even wider spectrum of models.
The sports sedan starts from $189,900 and goes up to $367,900 for the Turbo S, with seven variants available.
Porsche NZ is taking orders now for first quarter 2021 deliveries.
The new Panamera models – in addition to the sports sedan, they can also be ordered as Sport Turismo or Executive with lengthened wheelbase, depending on the drive system – are now equipped from the factory with the previously optional Sport Design front end with striking air intake grilles, large side cooling openings and a single-bar front light module.
The completely new front end of the Panamera Turbo S is differentiated by the larger side air intakes and newly designed elements in the exterior colour, which are connected horizontally to emphasise the width of the vehicle. The light modules of the dual Turbo front lights are now set much further apart.
The revamped light strip at the rear now runs seamlessly over the luggage compartment lid with an adapted contour. It thus provides a continuous and flowing connection between the two newly designed LED tail light clusters. GTS models sport the new darkened Exclusive Design tail light clusters as standard with dynamic coming/leaving home function. Three new 20- and 21in wheels have been added to the wheel range, so that a total of 10 different designs are now available.
But the most notable upgrade has been an increase in power. The Turbo S’s 4-litre twin-turbo V8 output is now 463kW of power and 820Nm of torque, that’s a 59kW and 50Nm increase, plus a half second 0-100km/h with 3.1seconds.
The GTS now has 353kW of power, up 15kW but the 620Nm of torque.
The new model is Porsche’s Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. It has a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine paired to a 100kW electric power to produce a total of 412kW/750Nm. It now has a 54km all electric range.
