Rolls-Royce boss Torsten Muller Otvos has written an open letter saying  that the Ghost, which is nearing final stages, will reflect what luxury British brand terms “post-opulence”.

It will be a car that can be driven or be driven in and will be less ostentatious than the Phantom.

Muller Otvos says that the new Rolls-Royce “will celebrate reduction and restraint”.

The Ghost adopts the new platform shared with the BMW 7 Series, and the only carry over items from the Ghost Series II will be the Spirit of Ecstasy emblem and umbrellas in the rear passenger doors.

The Ghost will be launched at a digital event later this year.
