On-demand car-sharing company Mevo and the NZ Automobile Association (AA) have partnered to promote innovative sustainable mobility to AA Members.

The partnership, which sees AA Members receive up to $100 free Mevo credit in their first year, will give Members new ways to get around in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton.

"We know our Members use a variety of transport options,” says Jonathan Sergel, AA Chief Mobility Officer.

“While most have their own car, Members also use public transport, walk, ride and use micro-mobility too.

"Car-sharing is rapidly growing in popularity, with hundreds of thousands of trips taken in the last twelve months alone, and Mevo is leading the way on innovating how Kiwis access on-demand services. We’re thrilled to support AA Members to give it a go,” says Sergel.

Mevo Chief Executive Erik Zydervelt says the partnership with AA is a great way to promote efficient and low-impact travel to a wider audience, as car sharing becomes a mainstream way of how New Zealand gets around.

Using the Mevo app, members can locate a car near to them (usually within a few minutes walk in a Mevo inner suburbs zone), reserve and unlock a car, all from their phone.
