After many rumours, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its EQS fully electric flagship sedan will debut in August 2021.

It's not confirmed where the release will be, either in North America or Europe, although given the new trend of online releases the location may not really matter.

Mercedes will begin a slew of electric models after the EQS, its first purposely built electric car. The EQA, EQC and EQV, of course, are already in existence, however they are based on electric versions of the GLA, GLC and V Class.

However with the S-Class, E-Class, C-Class and others to come, Mercedes will develop fully electric equivalent (“EQ”) versions that are not based on the “normal” models.

Electric range for the EQS is expected to be around 700km.
