Meet McLaren’s special Senna LM

McLaren Auckland got this weekend off to bang with the reveal of an extremely limited super sports car in New Zealand.

The dealership hosted a public unveiling on Saturday morning of the new McLaren Senna LM, with the exterior colour of Papaya Orange and a cost from $2.4m.

McLaren says there will be 24 in total, seven of which will be orange.

The Senna LM is also a celebration, marking 25 years since the marques historic victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Not only did the McLaren F1 GTR win, but also it claimed four of the top five places in the world’s premier sports car race.

Following Le Mans, McLaren built a handful of road-legal version of the F1 GTR, dubbed ‘LM’ (Le Mans). Today those cars remain some of the most valuable vehicles ever produced.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has honoured that 1995 car, with the Senna LM. Including in the ultimate road going Senna, is a multitude of tribute to the original LM; including gold engine shrouding, Speedline style wheels and four-pipe exhaust.

The dealership had a continuous flow of fans, plus TV news coverage, to see the McLaren Senna LM.
