As more restaurants adapt to takeaway-style service under Alert Level 3, one of New Zealand’s top chefs and award-winning restauranteurs has a special vehicle to deliver five-star dinners.

Sid Sahrawat, with his wife and business partner Chand, are for the first time ever offering contactless curated takeaway menus from their three Auckland based establishments: award-winning Sidart and Cassia, plus their recent establishment, Sid at The French Cafe.

The pair have created innovative takeaway menus that represent their award-winning offerings while being suitable for deliveries.

BMW NZ is partnering up with the pair by offering complimentary use of the all-new BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe to help their new service.

And there’s a bonus for some Auckland customers, as Sid may hand-deliver their posh takeaways to them.

The three reputable restaurants consistently provide quality food with quality service and BMW is pleased to help them launch this new offering, while the country stays home and stays safe, says BMW Group.

“New Zealand communities are doing an incredible job of following the government’s guidelines to help flatten the curve of Covid-19.  Now as the country carefully moves to Level 3, the time has come to help support local businesses,” said Gabrielle Byfield, BMW Group NZ head of marketing.

Sid Sahrawat added: “The decision to offer takeaways isn’t about making money, it’s about supporting our local suppliers, reconnecting with our customers and boosting the mental well-being of the team.”

All three restaurants are open for contactless click and collect and contactless delivery, offering lunch Wednesday to Friday and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.

Meanwhile, BMW Group NZ’s ambassador and top restaurateur Josh Emmett, is proving very popular on social media by showing his Michelin star skills in Instagram stories teaching Kiwis how to make a variety of meals.
