Kia NZ’s special offer on 2022 Sportage

Kia New Zealand is bringing in a special shipment of the 2022 Sportage for its dealerships in November before the launch in January.

Renowned as Kia’s number-one selling vehicle globally, the all-new Sportage is set to emulate a similar sales trajectory in New Zealand, as more than 300 orders have already been received - so the rush is on for potential customers to act early and secure the special offer.

“We have high expectations for the all-new Sportage and, as a limited time offer, are making the all-new LX 2-litre two-wheel-drive petrol variant available from only $34,990,” said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald.

“This represents exceptional value as Sportage offers a striking exterior design, premium interior appearance and appointment, as well as an all-encompassing suite of safety features.

“Sportage has evolved and is an entirely new and sophisticated proposition.  It is the dawning of a new age for Kia and our iconic SUV.”

In New Zealand, the all-new Sportage will be available in four different trim levels with a variety of engine and powertrain combinations, in a mix of two-wheel and all-wheel-drive.

One of the most noticeable developments of the new model is a significant change in overall vehicle size, growing in almost every dimension.  The total length and width of the Sportage is 4660mm and 1865mm respectively, which is comparable in exterior proportions to a 2009-14 XM Sorento, a large seven-seat SUV.

The elongated wheelbase of 2755mm, combined with an increase in height to 1660mm, delivers spatial improvements for all passengers including enhanced leg and headroom for second-row passengers, as well as greater luggage capacity.

Full details of all models will be released closer to the on-sale date, but with specific regard to the LX, highlights include 17-inch alloy wheels, rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines, Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go, LED Headlamps, 8-inch Touchscreen Infotainment and 4.2-inch TFT LCD cluster, Front Parking Sensors plus heated-and-folding side mirrors.
