With less than three months until the official launch of the all-new Sportage, Kia New Zealand has released more information about the range, revealing the price of all models in the lineup.

The new Sportage will debut with a special introductory offer of $34,990 for the all-new LX 2-litre two-wheel-drive petrol variant, which will be joined by a portfolio of variants available in four different trim levels with a variety of engine and powertrain combinations, in a mix of two-wheel and all-wheel-drive.

The most expensive Sportage is the 2-litre diesel AED X-Line at $59,990.

The all-new Kia Sportage compact SUV arrives in New Zealand early next year.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the all-new model to New Zealand and have high expectations it will continue to maintain its position as the most popular vehicle in our line-up,” said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald.

“An all-new design from an aesthetic and proportion-perspective, enhanced features and attributes combined with a compelling pricing proposition means that there is every opportunity for Sportage to do extremely well – especially if the pre-launch interest in the new model is anything to go by.”

More than 500 pre-launch orders have been received for the new model and now, with pricing and full range revealed, Kia is anticipating there will be a fresh surge of interest.

The increased dimensions of the fifth-generation Sportage mean that it has grown in all the right areas, delivering increased spaciousness for the driver and all passengers as well as greater luggage capacity.

The dimensions of the fifth-generation Sportage have increased.

From a safety standpoint, Kia’s acclaimed Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology helps the Sportage to avoid potential hazards while protecting occupants and other road users on every journey.

The announcement coincides with the start of test drive opportunities of the Sportage at Kia dealers around the country, Covid levels allowing, with delivery early in 2022.

More information about the new range, including specification highlights and other key details, will be released later this quarter.
