GMSV has released new information for the Model Year 2024 C8 Corvette, including more details regarding the Z06.

The new MY24 C8 Corvette will be available with a number of enhancements that add to the safety credentials as well as the visual appeal of one of the most popular two-seat sports cars available.

New safety features include Forward Collision Alert with Low-Speed Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Front Pedestrian Braking and Intellibeam Auto High Beam Assist

From an aesthetic perspective, the rear of the MY24 will be distinguishable from the current model courtesy of a new Z51 spoiler design.

“We’re thrilled to announce a series of updates to the upcoming MY24 C8 Corvette, additions which will make an already phenomenal performance vehicle all the more outstanding,” said Greg Rowe, Director of GMSV.

“Included in this exciting news is more information about the sensational new Z06, a rear-wheel drive, mid-engine Supercar manufactured right-hand drive and featuring an exquisite power plant, hand-assembled by a master engine builder at the home of Corvette, the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.”

The Corvette E-Ray is due in New Zealand next year.

A new engine appearance package is available with the convertible and a lighting option is reinstated for the 2LT. A lighting option and carbon fibre close out panels are available on the 3LT.

Customer deliveries for the new MY24 C8 Corvette will commence in Q4 with the prices starting at $185,00 for the 2LT Coupe Coupe, and topping at $215,000 for the 3LT Convertible.

The much-awaited Corvette Z06 will cost $346,00 and is anticipated to arrive in GMSV showrooms in New Zealand late this year.

The Corvette Z06 features a naturally aspirated LT6 5.5L DOHC V8 engine with an all-new flat-plane crankshaft design which allows the engine to rev to 8,600 rpm.  It can produce 475kW of power and 595Nm of torque and, when combined with the Z07 Performance Package, is capable of 1.22g of road-hugging grip in track-prepared configuration.

GMSV has also confirmed that New Zealand will be the upcoming Corvette E-Ray.

The innovative model is the first electrified Corvette and will feature an e-AWD system that works in tandem with its LT2 V8 engine to give it the fastest 0 to 100km/h time ever for this legendary nameplate.

E-Ray features a host of functional design elements, adding wider fenders, quarter panels and fascias. The result is a sleek, sculpted presence with a number of aerodynamic and performance benefits.  More information about the Corvette E-Ray will be available in 2024 with prices to be confirmed close to the launch date.
