Further Europe Car Plant Closures
Fiat Chrysler, PSA Group and Renault have collectively announced the short to medium closure of 35 manufacturing plants across Europe. Together they sold 12 million cars last year and employed 14 million people.
This fuels fears that the auto industry could plunge into a recession. Global auto sales fell 5 million between the 2017 peak and last year’s figure of 90.2 million, according to CNN.
