Citroen’s New Zealand distributor is launching the highly customised C3 hatchback here next month with such bold features as AirBump’s on the side of the car.

Citroen owners can choose from seven body colours, four different roof treatments and four individual colour packs, allowing for 97 possible combinations.

There are also interior pack combinations, partnered with distinctive elements such as the renowned AirBump system that are both practical and fun. They act as protection to the side to avoid scratches and knocks on the C3 but also brings an interesting visual appeal.

Auto Distributors New Zealand, that sell Citroen’s here, says “it’s refreshing when a new model such as the C3 enables self-expression in such creative, individual and fun ways”.

“With the new C3, there are almost 100 combinations of exterior aesthetics which can be chosen to project the owner’s personality,” said the CEO of Auto Distributors New Zealand, Chris Brown.

From a technical perspective, the new Citroen C3 is powered by award winning 1.2-litre PureTech 110, a three-cylinder turbo petrol engine which features Start and Stop fuel-saving technology. The inclusion of a six-speed automatic transmission helps deliver fuel-efficiency of 5.2-litres per 100km.

The Citroen C3 has a variety of style packages to choose from.

The new model will be available in one variant from $29,990 and a new five-year warranty comes as standard.

“The new C3 celebrates its individuality courtesy of unique design cues combined by offering unrivalled levels of personalisation, driver enjoyment and passenger comfort,” said Brown.

The C3 introduces a new Citroen front-end identity inspired by the brand’s latest concept cars, while the overall look is completed by a fresh new 16-inch alloy wheel design.

The C3 has a wide selection of Driving Aids, including Speed Limit Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Colour Reverse Camera and rear parking sensors.

Additional aids are also available as part of Safety Pack $1500, including Blind Spot Monitoring, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, front parking sensors and more.
