Chinese car brand Leapmotor hops into NZ market

Auto Distributors New Zealand has added another brand to its portfolio with the introduction of the Chinese brand Leapmotor.

The brand is owned by the Stellantis group with Auto Distributors NZ already selling Peugeots which is part of the global motoring conglomerate.

The first vehicle into the New Zealand market will be the Leapmotor C10, an electric family-sized SUV arriving here in December. 

“We are honoured to expand our partnership with Stellantis and Leapmotor, and to now represent this new brand and new opportunity in New Zealand”, says Rick Armstrong, Executive Director of  Auto Distributors NZ.

Armstrong continues to say, “Manufacturing of EV products China has expanded significantly over the last 10 years, the product being produced by Leapmotoris some of the best from across all brands, we are excited to be part of this Global strategy”.

The  Leapmotor C10 is powered by a single rear-mounted 160kW/320Nm e-motor with a 69.9kWhlithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) baXery pack. It has a range of 410km.

Prices will be announced closer to launch.
