C'est magnifique, Peugeot’s most powerful cars
Peugeot has three reasons to celebrate with the announcement of a new high-performance division and the resulting cars
The French brand has launched the Peugeot Sports Engineered (PSE) division that has created the most powerful cars in its lineup, two new high-performance versions of the new Peugeot 508 PSE Fastback and SW.
They produce 268kW and 520Nm of torque by combining an internal combustion engine and electrical energy. This combination makes it possible to achieve almost instantaneous responses and acceleration.
It goes from 0-100km/h in 5.2s with a top speed of 250km/h.
It also has four-wheel drive (4WD) and plug-in hybrid electric technology, meaning it can drive 100 per cent electric for up to 41km.
Peugeot’s New Zealand distributor, ADNZ, is working closely with PSA to bring the 508 PSE to NZ, with more details to be announced at the beginning of next year.
The signature of this new family, with three Kryptonite claws, refers to Peugeot Sport’s new identity, to the light signatures of the production models, and draws inspiration from the brand's heritage with rear lights inspired by the Peugeot 504 coupé.
