Car-play with Liv Rogers: 2021 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

Someone asked me the other day why I loved the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera so much and honestly I love it because it sounds angry. You turn it on and it just growls, not like a sexual low rolling growl either, more like an angry, aggressive, pissed-off growl.

My partner and I have had the 2021 model for two weeks and I drive it as often as I can.

When I drive the DBS I feel like a rebel, it ruthlessly thrashes around corners, goes from 0–100km real quick and being the show stopper that it is, it definitely turns heads.

This particular DBS that was newly acquired is the most dreamy colorway, white body and gloss black roof, but is an absolute pain to keep clean but when it is clean it is super shiny.

It is also monochromatic goodness that goes with every outfit without being too matchy-matchy.

It has successfully made any other car feel like a bore to drive. Everything feels weak in comparison. I turn on another car and crave that peeved-off feeling I get when the DBS kicks into gear.

This model has some titanium exhausts that make it even louder than the usual Superleggera.

It's not just the ‘lose your shit’ growl that I love about it, it is also the fact that as soon as you get into it, you feel like a race car driver.

I instantly want to go fast and break all of the rules but know I shouldn't/won't. It also makes me want to blast some heavy bass music and thankfully the sound system delivers in that area.

Apparently, this particular model has some super fancy titanium (yes I asked) exhausts that make it even louder than the usual Superleggera ... so loud I needed a disguise down Ponsonby Road.

All in all, my review on this is pretty high. It is a car I would happily drive every day (durr) that brings out the badass in me and makes me feel a little bit guilty for keeping it on the conservative roads of Auckland.
