BYD New Zealand has just launched an app for Kiwi owners that allows them to turn on their Atto 3 electric car, set the air con, and even honk the horn.

Every BYD Atto3 owner can download the App from their respective App store, register with the details used at the time of purchase from their BYD dealer and follow the prompts.

“We are excited to launch the BYD App to our New Zealand customers. The benefits both new and existing customers receive with a BYD Atto 3 have greatly increased since the vehicle launched,” said BYD in a statement.

“Having the ability to pre-condition their car, see the vehicle state of charge and the charging time while connected to a charger, will let them plan better for future trips. In the long run, it will make a major  difference for owners and fleet operators looking to maximize the efficiency of their vehicles.”

Following on from a hugely successful 2022 with multiple award wins, the BYD Atto 3 is the number one selling BEV for 2023 year to date.

Pricing for the all-electric Atto 3 starts at $58,990 for the standard range and tops out at $62,490 for the extended range, plus on-road costs. Both variants are also eligible for the current full EV clean car rebate of $8625.
