BMW New Zealand will further advance its progressive product strategy and upper luxury offering with the introduction of the first-ever fully electric i7 xDrive 60 sedan later this year.

The flagship 7 Series sedan is long renowned for its standard-setting levels of sophistication, technology, and refinement.

The first-ever fully electric i7 combines driving pleasure, unsurpassed long-distance comfort and an outstanding digital experience while showcasing new styling that underlines its commanding road presence.

The new wheelbase, at 3215mm, is 5mm longer than the sixth-generation long wheelbase model, while overall vehicle length, width and height has increased by 131mm, 48mm and 65mm respectively.

A combination of dynamic ability and first-class comfort are delivered through comprehensive chassis upgrades as well as by fitment of two-axle air suspension and adaptive damping as standard.

The BMW i7 xDrive60 features fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology with a highly integrated drive system unit, xDrive all-wheel-drive, intelligent energy management, a new charging process, and advanced battery cell technology.

The combination of efficient electric drive, optimised adaptive recuperation, improved climate control and high energy density for the high-voltage battery with 106kWh deliver a range of up to 625km on the WLTP cycle.

High speed DC charging with up to 195kW will enable customers to increase the range of their BMW i7 xDrive60 by approximately 170 kilometres in 10 minutes. At the 195kW level, the i7 can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 34 minutes.

The new BMW i7 xDrive60 is priced at $276,900 with deliveries to customers in early 2023.
