After a sell-out shipment in 2018, Volkswagen New Zealand is happy to announce the compact SUV is back on sale here with two models available.

VW NZ general manager of passenger vehicles, Greg Leet, says Kiwis have been waiting for the T-Roc to make its comeback.

“When our 2018 shipment was an instant sell-out we knew we were on to something special with T-Roc,” said Leet.

“Built on the same platform as the award-winning Golf, this SUV has the potential to become an icon.”

Starting at $39,990, the new T-Roc offering now includes three trims. Life and Style models both host a 1.5-litre TSI engine generating 110 kW and 250 Nm. The 2.0-litre TSI engine and 4MOTION all-wheel drive is reserved for the R-Line, boasting a powerful 140 kW and 320 Nm.

Armed with an impressive array of specification and technology, the new T-Roc brings a point of difference to this busy market segment.

The T-Roc stands out from the crowd with its powerful 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Available across the range, the 7-speed DSG gearbox further provides a seamless gear change and engaging drive with optimum fuel efficiency.

The top of the range R-Line model features further personalisation with Driving Profile Selection. This allows the driver to choose between a range of driving modes - Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Off-road and Individual - to enhance their driving experience in all conditions.

Coupled with the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, the T-Roc R-Line offers ideal traction on almost any terrain and multi-link rear suspension for improved handling.

There is no word yet if New Zealand will get the T-Roc convertible that has just been launched in the UK.
