Audi has updated its popular selling Q5. It will follow the A4 and Q7 by offering a 12v mild hybrid, with the initial engine upon launch being a 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel 12v mild hybrid.

Shortly following launch will be two additional diesel four cylinder variants, a V6 diesel and a petrol hybrid in four cylinder form.

Modifications include a new front grille, a reshaped bumper and new LED clusters at the front and rear.  The rear lights also include a proximity sensor which activates brake lights if a car passes within two metres.

The Q5 also offers, as an option, new OLED light technology that allows personalised lighting, with front and rear lights, in terms of the amount of light and colour, to really impress the neighbours.  It comes with three standard settings for passenger arrival and departure from the car.

Inside a new free-standing 10.1 inch touchscreen is now centre stage and it does away with the centre controller, with full touch screen capability.
