Audi New Zealand has released the new SQ2, giving the sporty compact SUV a design facelift and an even fresher look.

The Quattro all-wheel drive is available now in dealerships across the country and is priced from $80,900.

It has 2.0 TFSI with 221kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 250km/h.

The seven-speed S-tronic’s lower gears feature short, sporty ratios while the seventh gear is long to reduce fuel consumption. Drivers can operate the lightning-fast dual-clutch transmission in modes D (drive) or S (sport), or shift themselves. If the Audi drive select system is in “efficiency” mode, the clutch disengages when coasting, allowing the compact sport SUV to freewheel.

“This SQ2 is packed full of style, features and progressive technology – you get a lot from this compact sport SUV,” said Audi New Zealand General Manager, Dean Sheed.

“Naturally, it delivers on performance too, with the turbo-charged four-cylinder engine possessing excellent throttle response and a fuller sound, allowing the driver to fully immerse themselves in the driving experiences that New Zealand has to offer – whether in an urban environment or out on the open road.”
