Audi NZ announces AQ6 e-tron as first of 15 all-new models

Audi New Zealand is set to introduce 15 all-new models here by the end of 2026 and the brand is starting with the Q6 e-tron SUV.

The Q6 e-tron is due to arrive in New Zealand in early 2025 and will comprise of two drive variants – Advanced (Q6 e-tron) and S-Line (Q6 e-tron quattro S line).

The Q6 e-tron Advanced will be the introduction to the range starting at an MRP of $134,990 while the S-Line is $155,990.

Greg Leet, General Manager of Audi New Zealand explains that the Q6 e-tron is the next technological leap in premium electric mobility for our customers.

“For the first time in New Zealand, Audi will offer a medium-sized fully electric SUV – allowing us to target the most popular car segment in our market. Built on the new PPE platform, this is an exciting step for Audi. We will set a new standard in the premium segment, offering unparalleled performance, design and technology at a competitive price.”

Built on the new PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron sets standards in terms of e-performance, electric range, and charging.

Powerful, compact, and highly efficient electric motors, as well as a newly developed lithium-ion battery consisting of twelve modules and 180 prismatic cells ensure a range of up to 567 km on the Q6 e-tron quattro S line and a further 638 km on the Q6 e-tron Advanced.

Due to its 800-volt technology a maximum DC charging capacity of 270 kW is standard on both variants.

Up to 255 km can be recharged in 10 minutes at an appropriate charging station (High Power Charging, HPC). The state-of-charge (SoC) increases from ten to 80 percent in around 27 minutes with optimal conditions. AC charging with up to 11 kW is possible at standard home chargers.

The Advanced is a rear-wheel drive with a system output of 225 kW and a top speed of 210 km/h. The Q6 e-tron Advanced accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

As standard the car will come with 19” wheels, privacy glass, and contrast paint in Mythos Black.

The Q6 e-tron S line offers Quattro all-wheel drive as standard with a system output of 285 kW and a top speed of 210 km/h. This variant will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Like the Advanced, the S line will include a full range of specifications but with additional premium features as standard.

These features include 20” Audi Sport wheels, customisable OLED taillights, S line exterior and interior details, a 3-spoke steering wheel, Premium Sound system B&O and an augmented reality Head-Up Display.

The interior of the Audi Q6 e-tron is orientated towards the needs of the user more than ever. The Audi MMI panoramic display and the MMI passenger display will be standard on both variants and form a visually clear digital stage.
