After a period of uncertainty before the creation of Stellantis, Alfa Romeo is coming back stronger with the announcement that the Italian brand will introduce a new model each year to 2026.

The brand will start next year with the Tonale SUV next year, said the brand's CEO, Jean-Philippe Imparato.

"Alfa Romeo will launch a new model every year until 2026," Imparato told an Italian dealer's event, according to Reuters.

Starting in 2027, all of Alfa Romeo’s new vehicles would be electric, said Imparato.

The Tonale, whose production was initially expected to start by the end of 2021, will be presented in March next year, with sales in Italy to begin in June, Imparato said.

Stellantis is a manufacturing corporation formed in 2021 on the basis of a 50-50 merger between Italian-American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler and the French PSA group.
