Airstream launches ultimate work from home caravan
Among my passions, apart from cars, is caravans – specifically Airstream caravans. I first became obsessed with them when I was at the USA’s Burning Man event in 2018, and while I slummed it in a dusty tent in the desert, the more luxury inclined types were ensconced in the comfort of their silver bullet Airstream trailers.
It’s no surprise that Airstream has responded to the current work from home situation, particularly in the northern hemisphere, by releasing the Flying Cloud 30FB Office. We recently featured the Nissan NV350 Caravan Office Pod, which was in a similar genre.
The 30 foot (9.1m) Airstream model, priced at US107,500 (NZ$150,000) has a dedicated office that can double as a second bedroom. The desk has sliding drawers, storage cubbies, overhead cabinets with doors that can be written on like a whiteboard, a privacy curtain, and plenty of USB ports.
Naturally, the Flying Cloud is more than an office and can actually also sleep up to six people and includes a Queen size bed.
