Starship Supercar Show sold-out success

The Aston Martin Valkyrie was the star of the Supercar Show.

Car fans from as far away as Southland snapped up tickets to the Starship Supercar Show last weekend.

The two-day event proved even more popular than the inaugural show, with the 7000 tickets snapped up long before the $100 million worth of cars were parked across the four levels of Giltrap Group’s flagship site on Auckland’s Great North Road.

This year, Giltrap Group doubled the length of the Supercar Show to not only allow more people to attend but also to lengthen the session durations so supercar fans could better soak up the display of exotic and ultra-high-performance machinery.

“Seeing the passion and love for these special vehicles in New Zealand always amazes me, “says Michael Giltrap, Joint Managing Director Giltrap Group.

“We have assembled an incredible collection of supercars.”

This year’s show featured four New Zealand ‘firsts’, with the Lotus Eletre, Corvette Z06, Aston Martin Valkyrie and Polestar 3 all being unveiled.

Hypercars will also feature, with the new Lamborghini Countach, Brabham BT62 and McLaren Senna making their first appearance at the show alongside a stunning collection of Ferraris and even Greg Murphy’s custom-built 1969 Dodge Charger

Every cent raised was in support of the Starship Foundation.
